Leng Shaonong (1898-1932) was born in Weng'an, Guizhou. Graduated from Guizhou Legal and Political College in 1923. Later, he joined the Communist Party of China. After 1927, he joined the Military and Administrative Department of the Nanjing National Government as secretary. He skillfully maneuvered among the top leaders of the Kuomintang, obtained a lot of important political and military intelligence, and made important contributions to the victory of the Central Soviet Area's three anti-"encirclement and suppression" campaigns.
