Hanque: the Story of Huo Guang
by Axi
About This Novel
Huo Guang was so powerful that he was one of the key figures who promoted the Zhaoxuan ZTE. He won the era, but failed to win history. He was so insignificant that his contemporary Sima Qian did not care about him in the first half of his life. He was so insignificant that Ban Chao's "Book of Han" wrote that Huo Guang when Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty only "served in the chariot and served at the left and right". However, he is the only and consistent winner in the turbulent political struggle. During the reign of Emperor Wu, as an unknown junior, he quietly hid behind everyone. He avoided other people's prying eyes and perfectly concealed his intentions. He was always at the center of things but kept his whereabouts hidden. Zweig's evaluation of Joseph Fouche could be applied to Huo Guang. He collectively called such people "machinists." This book observes and narrates the turbulent life of this "powerful man" from a popular perspective.

Many are inconsistent with historical facts. First of all, Huo Qubing's funeral standards were much higher than those of Wei Qing. Secondly, Lu Bode is Huo Qubing's subordinate. Furthermore, Zhao Ponu seemed to be on the opposite side of the Wei family during the witchcraft disaster.
