About This Novel
"Keidan" is based on the most widely circulated folk tales in Japan, and covers extremely rich contents, such as the resentful spirits of the Heike family who were exterminated due to defeat in Japanese history, stories of fox fairies and willow spirits repaying kindness, and the secret story of ghosts redressing their grievances... The entire article is not available. There are gorgeous words, but it is filled with a strong unique flavor of traditional Japanese literature and a strong local flavor of Fuso. It is either humorous, warning, or allegorical. It is colorful and changeable, presenting an aesthetic realm of the blending of Eastern and Western civilizations. The horror atmosphere and cultural artistic conception constructed in the book "Ghost Story" have profoundly affected Japanese people's understanding of horror aesthetics. It was adapted into a film in 1964, directed by Masaki Kobayashi. The film won the Jury Prize at the Cannes International Film Festival and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

I like this book very much because a Japanese person dies in every episode
Well, Japanese charade, not bad
I finished reading it without realizing it
Japanese version of Liaozhai, every story is miniaturized and extremely short
Japan is really influenced by China.
Taoist priests, monks and monsters are all very similar to Liaozhai.
It feels a lot like Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio, quite an interesting story.
Short stories are pretty good
This book is so well written that I could feel the feeling of Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio.
Very pretty (*/ω\*)
It was quite scary at first, but I gradually got used to it. It's okay, Japanese weird stories.
