About This Novel
This book is one of China's four great classics, the first chapter novel in the history of Chinese literature, and the pioneer of historical romance novels. This book is based on history and Confucianism. It tells the history of more than a hundred years from the Yellow Turban Rebellion in the late Han Dynasty to the establishment of the Wei, Shu Han and Wu Kingdoms, and the unification of the Western Jin Dynasty, and depicts many heroic figures. This book combines the characteristics of many excellent versions on the market and uses a full version of one hundred chapters. In order to facilitate students and the general public to read, phonetic notations and uncommon word annotations have been included along with the text, and an introduction to the creative background and annotations on Chinese studies knowledge have been added. The illustrations in the book are all collector's edition paintings. For example, "Guan Yu Captures the General" was painted by Shang Xi, a famous court painter during the Xuande period and the commander of the imperial guards. The characters are lifelike, the painting style is detailed, and the colors are bright, which better depicts the heroic figure of Guan Yu. The rest of the selected illustrations are all exquisite and detailed, with extremely high aesthetic value and collection value.
