I cried twice during the reading process. The first time was when Hassan was bullied but Amir did not save him and hid the matter because of his cowardice. This was anger. The second time was when Rahim Khan told Amir that he hesitated to take good care of Hassan's son Sohrab. It was also anger. That was the way for him to become a good person, but he was timid. The whole book unfolds with Amir's road to redemption, telling the story of family, friendship and love that Amir has experienced. I was moved by Hassan's loyalty and love for Amir, and I also knew Hassan's purity and bravery. I feel the serious racial and religious discrimination in Afghanistan, as well as the pain and suffering caused by the gap between rich and poor. This makes me realize how happy it is to live in a peaceful country in peacetime. I learned how harmonious love and the company of a woman are of great significance to a man. The details of the book are described in detail, the language is fluent and vivid, there is no redundant elaboration, and the meaning is profound. Especially the sentence, "For you, thousands of times," is even more touching. A very good book, recommended.
Can you tell me your age? To see how old they are, read this book
The kite runner feels
I read this book when I was in high school and saw it in a magazine recommendation. In addition to the protagonist's guilt towards his friends or brothers, this book also shows the class nature between the rich and the poor. One is as humble as dust, tolerant, and selfless, while the other is selfish, arrogant, and cowardly. What impressed me most was the scene where Asang was insulted, which showed the two of them more directly, and also let me know that boys can also be insulted. It was here that they began to part ways, and it became the most unforgettable past for "me", and I have been feeling guilty for the rest of my life.
"Kite" is not a simple kite, it contains more meanings. The first half of the novel is about memories, and the second half is about redemption. The protagonist recalls the happy life and harmonious city in his childhood. It also highlighted the brutal invasion of Afghanistan by the Russian army at that time. It also made me feel that bad people at that time could be so bad as to do such hellish things to an ignorant child. In short, I will have many emotions when reading this book, including sadness, anger, injustice, and pity. . . Great writing!
For you, thousands of times
From then on, I fell in love with a sentence: For you, thousands of times. This story lasts for a quarter of a century. Many unpredictable changes will occur in anyone's life in such a long period of time. The ups and downs of life or the reincarnation of fate are enough. Through the growth process of an Afghan boy, it alludes to society, religion, culture, and politics. It was the first time that I came into contact with Afghanistan, a country that was far away to me. It was also the first time that I followed a character in the book and approached Islam... This is a great and cruel novel. The artistic charm of this novel lies in letting the world know about an unknown Afghan nation that has been ravaged by war. The destruction and redemption of a friendship is the beginning of everyone's inner sublimation. Cherish everyone around you, never regret the promised love, and bravely pursue your own kite, no matter what it means. The ending of the story is not perfect, but more bitter and sour. But this is life, make mistakes and miss things, and it takes a lifetime to recover. Betrayal and redemption, loss and pursuit, run through our growth. Renovate your past self again and again, just to move forward better. "Do you want me to chase that kite for you?" His Adam's apple moved up and down as he swallowed, the wind ruffled his hair, and I thought I saw him nod. "For you, thousands of times."
For you, thousands of times🍃
In your life, do you have a good friend like Hassan protecting you? If so, you are really lucky. God favored Amir so much that he gave him Hassan. --He knew that I saw everything in the alley, that I stood there and watched. He knew I betrayed him, but he still saved me again, maybe for the last time. At that moment I fell in love with him, I loved him more than anyone else. I just wanted to tell them that I was the poisonous snake in the grass and the ghost at the bottom of the lake. --The person who was willing to pick up kites for me thousands of times has passed away. If you miss it in life, you will never get it again. Maybe we will repent and redeem, but it seems that it is too late. Every time we fly a kite, we should ask ourselves whether we really cherish everything we have. --Yes, I stole it. -There is a way to become a good person again. --For you, thousands of times. He said that you are his best friend in life. A belated confession after twenty years. There was no one who loved me more than Hassan before, and there will never be anyone again in the future. 🍂Finally, I hope everyone can cherish Hassan in front of you🍃
We all have a kite that we can never catch, but we can never stop chasing it. It will always remind us inadvertently and make our hearts painful. Amir left Hassan because of cowardice, because he was afraid of facing the expulsion of Hassan. This is the butterfly effect of making mistakes. Sometimes we are not malicious and insist on making mistakes, but we are just afraid and afraid to face them. This is the weakness of human nature itself. The author bloodyly cuts through the depths of human nature, which makes people scared and horrified, but eager to continue reading. Indeed, the author gave him a solution. Amir returned to Afghanistan again, and Amir could not let go of the mistakes he made that year. When faced with the same choice again, should we redeem ourselves or escape again? The reality is that we don't have the chance to redeem ourselves. The mistakes we make become pain that we can never let go of. We can only choose to forget or repay endlessly with guilt, or we don't even have such a chance. Amir's father in the book left me with too many thoughts. The upright and tall father stole his brother's woman. I don't believe that there is perfect human nature in the world. I believe in the complexity of human nature. Right and wrong are not opposites. They complement each other and together constitute beautiful and complex human nature.
At the end of the story, Sohrab's childhood misery ended with a kite, and his childhood happiness began with a kite. This is how it should be! Every kite runner pursues beauty. Sohrab has gone through all kinds of hardships and been tortured, which makes people sad! ! Thanks to Khaled Hosseini for a predictably sweet ending!
Childhood: Amir and Hassan, one master and one servant. Amir is bound by racial concepts and does not want to admit that Hassan is his friend; Hassan regards him as his best friend and his most loyal servant. Two major things happened to them at this stage. The first one: Hassan was violated by Assef (a boy of the same age who Hassan and Amir had no relationship with). Amir clearly saw all this, but did not stop it, and even treated it as unknowing in the days to come. But my heart was weighed heavily by guilt. The second incident: Amir secretly placed money and watches under Hassan's bed, accusing Hassan of stealing. Ultimately, the incident drove Hassan and his father Ali away. Because of the war, Amir later traveled to many places with his father, and finally settled in the United States. Before his father died, he helped him propose marriage to the woman he loved, and he truly had a family in the United States. However, at this time, Rahim Khan, who had been looking after his home for him, approached him. He also learned about Hassan and the secret. About Hassan: Hassan later married elsewhere, but Rahim Khan asked Hassan to return to Amir's home so that he could look after the house with him. Here, Hassan's wife gave birth to their son Sohrab. Before Sohrab entered the orphanage, Hassan and his wife were victimized by local snobbery and died in the street. About the secret: The respected father betrayed his friend and servant Ali, and had an affair with Ali's wife. Hassan is his father's son and Amir's half-brother! Amir had always felt guilty for what he had done to Hassan in his childhood. Under Rahim Khan's persuasion, he returned to his homeland and brought Hassan's son Sohrab from Afghanistan to the United States. However, at this time, Sohrab had already committed suicide because of Amir's dishonest words. For a long time in the future, he remained silent like a mute, and had dim eyesight and no energy like an object that could not think. Until one day, Amir bought a kite. A smile appeared on Sohrab's face for a moment. All this seems to be back to where it started. In the past, Hassan chased the kite for Amir; but now, Amir chases the kite for Sohrab. For you, thousands of times.
