About This Novel

This book was first published in 1923. From 1922 to 1923, Xideng actively participated in social activities while traveling in China, interviewing the last Empress Wanrong, the President of the Republic of China Li Yuanhong and his wife, Soong Ching Ling living in Shanghai, and many other celebrities. She was also lucky enough to attend the wedding of the last emperor Puyi, and visited a textile factory accompanied by Song Qingling and Song Meiling. She left us more than 80 rare old photos of women in the Republic of China and 29 interview notes. The appendix contains more than 40 photos of aristocratic women in the late Qing Dynasty, selected from "Miscellaneous Views of the Qing Dynasty" published in 1908. They are all rare image materials.

It's pretty good, but as a poor person I can't afford it.
