When the explosion alarm sounded throughout the mining area, I was dreaming of the black snake knocking its head into a pool of blood. Its neck was covered with peeling scales and white bones: "You said you would wait three days!" The moment I woke up, the whole mountain collapsed with a roar. Smoke and dust poured into the work shed, and the deputy captain opened the curtain and roared. "Why bother! This vein is enough for the whole team for three years!" Rubbles fell like rain, and I clutched the detonator box on the edge of the bed. At some point, there was a small snake coiled at the bottom of the box, with a piece of faded phosphorescent skin wrapped around its tail-it was exactly the diamond-shaped scales on the forehead of the black snake in the dream. It raised its head and neighed, and a scream suddenly came from outside the cave. The deputy captain's intercom blasted an electric sound: "There's something in the hole! It's dark and wrapped around the drill..." The vertical pupils of the little snake reflected my pale face. It spat out letters as if it were laughing.
