About This Novel

I have been walking in the fog of depression for a long time. In those days, the world was gray, the food had no taste, laughter seemed to be separated by glass, and even the sunlight falling on my body felt heavy. Countless late nights, I stared at the ceiling and asked myself: "What's the point of living like this?" It was the dying pot of pothos on the windowsill that saved me. One morning, I found a little bit of green sprouting between its curled leaves. It was so small, but pointed straight towards the light. At that moment, I suddenly understood: Even in desperate situations, there is still an upward instinct hidden in life. Later, I began to record those "tiny bits of life": the sound of water dripping under the eaves on a rainy day, the extra candy given by the aunt at the convenience store, and the dried petals falling out when flipping through old books. These fragments are like puzzle pieces, slowly putting together the appearance of life - it turns out that it is never black and white. Those tiny, warm moments are life quietly telling me: "Wait a little longer and try again." Today I still live with an undertone of depression, but I have learned to live with it. I write these words not to tell you "be happy" or "be strong", but to say gently: "I understand your difficulties." I understand your tears late at night, your fake smile, and the moments when you feel "you can't hold on" But I also want you to know: your breathing at this moment, the pain and warmth you can still feel, are all life cheering you on. This journey may be difficult, but every step you take counts; every day of your existence is precious. I hope my words can become a glimmer of light, illuminating the path under your feet. Even if it just allows you to persist for one more day, drink one more cup of hot water, and look up at the moon one more time, that is enough.
