The character of the protagonist.
The protagonist really follows the rules. In a post-apocalyptic world, you can still behave like this even though you have turned into a bug. Even the most rigid person in the world would not be like him. Author, are you writing about a time traveler with mental illness? Otherwise, what fool would still behave like that in the last days? If any ordinary person could do this, there would be no evil people in the world. Right? Otherwise, I can only think of him as a psychopath. How to behave like this even though you are not a human being.
