The story of the second era takes place in 1903. From 1900 to 1903, another world economic crisis occurred, which resulted in the unemployment of a large number of workers at the bottom of society, intensified the class contradiction between labor and capital, and thus triggered a social crisis. In 1903, August Ash was fired by his boss due to unfounded accounting errors. Later, after being introduced by his friend Martin Guerin, he went to work as an accountant at the Mannheim Mid-Rhine Shipping Company. By chance, he met the manager of the vaudeville theater Alfred Guernat. When he arrived in Ilona, in order to save Ilona, he gave up his job at the Mid-Rhine Shipping Company and returned to Cologne to start a theater business that symbolized his desire for order. However, it ended with the manager absconding with the money. Later, he invested all his property in the theater business and lost everything. He then returned home to Luxembourg and ended his messianic farce as a senior accountant in a large industrial company.
