That day was not a special day, it was just December 27, 2006. 7:55 Am. Two days have passed since Christmas. There is still a plastic Christmas tree with fallen ornaments standing in front of Carrefour in Zhongguancun, but a red banner celebrating New Year's Day has already been hung in front of the Renmin University Publishing House. Between the plastic Christmas tree and the red banners, there is a contradictory and illusory festive atmosphere; but no matter what, this day is still just a most ordinary Tuesday at the end of December. The weather is sunny and windy and cloudy, which is the most common in this season. The temperature is -5℃ to 6℃, not too warm and not too cold, which is perfect for winter. There were not too many pedestrians on the street early in the morning. They armed themselves with layers of various fabrics, and wrapped their bodies airtightly in coats, like bloated fish moving forward in strong winds and fallen leaves.
