About This Novel
The protagonist "I" in the novel wanted to go to the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts and become a painter, but by accident, he came to Lunan and became a breeder feeding cattle to the production team in Fulou Village. He also unknowingly fell in love with the daughter-in-law of "my" partner Chen Xingwang, who came into the Chen family because of his open-mouthed brother. Tian Yuying, Tian Yuying also intended to commit herself... But "I" finally left Fulou Village, and because of my master's degree thesis "Inside and Outside the Painting - A Comparative Study of Luo Zhongli and Miller's Peasant Images Using "Father" as an Example", I was able to stay at the school to teach, and grew into a writer and art scholar. A few years later, "I" was invited to a location less than 30 kilometers away from Fulou Village because a work was going to be adapted for the screen. "I" planned to take the opportunity to visit Fulou Village, and told Chen Xingwang that the "boy" he regretted being born in the wrong child - "I" - had gloriously joined the Communist Party of China.
