Once, he met the unemployed and down-and-out Hong Shiyi. He deeply sympathized with her fate and used his meager income from working as a substitute at a charity to support the Chang family. The two began to fall in love. The beautiful Chang Xiaonan was later spotted by the foreman of the Yangliu Song and Dance Ensemble. From then on, she changed her mind in love. She successively dumped Hong Shiyi and musician Wang Sun, and finally fell into the hands of the playboy Chen Siye, causing the Chang family to be ruined.
