Zhang Henshui is a famous chapter novelist and a representative writer of the Mandarin Duck and Butterfly School. He is honored as the first "master of chapter novels" and "master of popular literature" in the history of modern literature. The plot of the work is tortuous and complex, and the structure is rigorous and complete. It integrates traditional Chinese chapter novels with new techniques in Western novels. He is also famous for his prolific output. In his fifty-year writing career, he created more than 100 popular novels, most of which are medium and long chapter novels with a total of 30 million words, which can be regarded as a book in his lifetime.
