About This Novel
One late night two months ago, I was drinking with my brother Yongsheng at a late-night snack stall on the street in Fushun, Sichuan. While drunk, I put down my "harsh words" and wanted to write a few lines for his poem. I thought that in the noisy streets, there were people drinking and causing chaos, and such lies would soon blow away like the wind in my ears. Little did I know that Brother Yongsheng was still drunk and kept my words in his heart. Recently he mentioned this matter again and asked me to write the preface to his collection of poems "Twilight Ci". The originally agreed "few sentences" turned into a "preface", which made me confused for a while. But men should be responsible for what they say, not to mention that Brother Yongsheng and I are both from Yunnan. He is a warm-hearted person and he cares for me. If I refuse, it will inevitably be considered unkind.
