Sphenoid Crown
About This Novel
A sphenoid crown that spans three hundred years and is entangled in the fate of three lives connects three tragedies about "eternal life and freedom". The Butterfly Saint of ancient Aidilia used it to isolate the power of death, but was trapped in the awe of others; the twin brides in the old capital of the Republic of China used it to carry the curse of eternal life, but lived in the shadow of their sisters; the butterfly undertaker in the near future used it to seal the consciousness of the deceased, but lost themselves in reincarnation. When the memories of three generations overlapped in the crown, she finally saw clearly: this crown, woven of sphenoid bones, silver threads and obsessions, had never been the carrier of a curse, but a cocoon she had weaved for herself. The moment she broke out of her cocoon, she was both the God of Death, a bride, and a butterfly funeral master-she finally took off the crown and finally lived as herself.
