Green and Yellow Journey
by Meng Chige
About This Novel
This book tells the story of three young men, Ru Sheng, Li Yi, and Wu Huan, who were evicted by their landlord and accidentally joined a tour group to travel to Guangxi. During the trip, they met three elderly people including Uncle Rong, mother and daughter Ge Xin, and two young girls Xue Yan and Yin Yue. They "rescued each other" along the way and forged friendship at a bonfire party. This elderly group created a group care model on its own, and decided to take in these homeless young men after the trip. In later life, young people learn to get along with different elderly people and take good care of their lives. They teach the elderly new ways of life and help them solve the problems they encounter in life, clarify their inner emotions, fill their emotional sustenance, and gain self-liberation. In addition to giving young people a place to live, the elderly also do their best to help young people overcome debt crises, raise money to start businesses, and get out of trouble. The publication of this book can make readers feel the warmth and kindness between people, and make people believe that young people and the elderly can remove prejudices, take off their disguises, tear down walls, and move forward hand in hand. It will help draw people's attention to the mental state and living conditions of young people and the elderly in the new era.
