About This Novel
"Sunflower by the Eaves" is based on the growth trajectory of a farm girl's daughter. It tells the story of how a girl in a traditional family environment gradually overcomes her inferiority complex and learns to understand and be self-consistent. She was labeled as "unsmart and introverted" since she was a child. She silently shouldered the housework but was always ignored. She endured it alone when she was not seen. As an adult, she also unconsciously copied her family's relationship pattern, feeling grateful for her family ties while grappling with her inner uneasiness. This is a self-healing record for all those who long for growth, and a gentle reflection for thousands of families. May we all grow our own sunflowers in the soil of the past.
