About This Novel
Seventeen years after Asia's largest paper mill went bankrupt, it was transformed into an immersive puzzle park. Li Jun, a boy from the factory, was also in trouble and came to the park to apply for an NPC job. On his first day of employment, his boss Zhao Jinbiao suddenly pushed him to the ground and announced in public: "Li Baowen's grandson died ten years ago. You are a fake!" Just when he was being humiliated, an old NPC man who picked up rags came out of the fog and called out his nickname: "Yiyi, he is my grandson." Li Jun was also shocked to find that the NPC's words and deeds were exactly the same as those of his late grandfather Li Baowen. My grandfather was an eighth-level fitter in the factory and fell into the chimney and died. Now his consciousness seems to have been uploaded to the system. And Zhao Jinbiao was my grandfather's apprentice back then. While avoiding pursuit, while using the "local craftsmanship" taught by his grandfather to crush high-tech equipment, Li Jun also stepped closer to the truth in the ruins: the factory was not bankrupt, but was hollowed out. Grandpa was not an accident, he was pushed down. When all the evidence pointed to the same person, Li Jun also tightened his grip on the wrench left by his grandfather-- "If Hong'an doesn't die, it's time to pay the debt he owes."
