Man in the Snow
About This Novel
The story takes place on a rare snowstorm night. The only inn in a border town, "Yingbinju", is forced to welcome several seemingly unrelated travelers: a wealthy businessman, a bodyguard, a scholar, an old man, etc. However, the brief calm was completely broken when a seriously injured officer carrying an important military secret broke in and risked his life. Outside the inn is a desperate situation blocked by wind and snow, and inside the inn is a sudden murderous intention. Everyone seems to have evil intentions and is suspicious of each other. A knight who is always silent and whose identity is unknown (the man in the snow) becomes the key to breaking the situation. The novel is extremely well-conceived, much like a secret room suspense drama. Through character dialogue, detailed reasoning and sudden fights in a small space, it vividly demonstrates the suspicion, fear, courage and wisdom of human nature in extreme environments.
