This book is a popular history book that details the nearly two hundred years of the Eastern Han Dynasty. The Eastern Han Dynasty was another unified Central Plains dynasty in Chinese history after the Western Han Dynasty. It lasted for 195 years and was collectively referred to as the Two Han Dynasties together with the Western Han Dynasty. This book begins with the Green Forest Red Eyebrow Uprising that broke out at the end of the Western Han Dynasty. Liu Xiu of the clan took advantage of the situation to eliminate warlords from all over the country, unify the world, establish the Eastern Han Dynasty, and then create the famous Guangwu Zhongxing in Chinese history, until the Eastern Han Dynasty. At the end of the year, Dong Zhuo took Emperor Xian to move the capital to Chang'an, Cao Cao took Emperor Xian to move the capital to Xu County, Cao Pi usurped the Han Dynasty, and the Eastern Han Dynasty fell. It depicts for readers a historical picture of the ups and downs of the Eastern Han Dynasty regime in the past two hundred years.
