"Journey to the Center of the Earth" tells the story of Professor Lidenbrock's expedition to the center of the earth with his nephew Axel and his guide Hans, inspired by a coded letter. They descended from the Snæfellsjökull crater in Iceland, overcoming various difficulties such as lack of water, getting lost, and storms along the way, and finally returned to the ground from the Sedrombuli volcano in Sicily during a volcanic eruption. In this novel, Verne cleverly intersperses scientific knowledge with the plot and the characterization of the characters. While describing a magical underground world to the readers and showing the twists and turns, vivid and interesting plot, he also allows the readers to learn a wealth of scientific knowledge and feel the strong will of mankind to conquer nature.
