About This Novel
"Xiaoyun" is one of Lin Haiyin's few full-length novels. It tells the story of Xiaoyun, a high school graduate who has been dependent on her mother since she was a child. She becomes a tutor and falls in love with the male protagonist. In Lin Haiyin's works, Xiaoyun is delicate and sensitive in mind and weak in body, but he still retains his yearning and pursuit of love and marriage. But in front of that marriage combination without any love component, her love still seemed pale and feeble, and in the end she failed to escape her fleeting fate.
