"Du Mingquan's Novella Collection" collects three novellas written by the author between June 2015 and 2016: "Chun'er Escapes from My Sight", "My Industrial Era", and "My Real Estate Era". On the surface, "Chun'er Escapes from My Sight" seems to be a love-hate tragedy and comedy about "I", Chun'er, and Qiujuan. It seems to be a love novel, but it actually reflects certain social moods. "My Industrial Era" uses the story of the protagonist "I" and Zhang Li'er to express the life of a generation in the era of township enterprises. "My Real Estate Era" tells the story of "I" (Yu Hao), who, under the leadership of his relative Yu Wenxin, gradually entered society and entered the turbulent real estate industry. In the end, he made a mistake and regretted it. Although the three novellas have strong tragic elements, they are all tragicomedies, reflecting the social changes and progress of different eras as well as personal life journeys. Rather than being used as novel texts, they are better read slowly as philosophical texts.
