Fredrick Forsyth (Fredrick Forsyth August 25, 1938 -), a famous British writer, was born in Ashford, Kent, England. After attending middle school at Tonbridge School, he studied at the University of Granada in Spain. In 1970, he decided to start writing novels and wrote his first novel "The Day of the Jackal", which soon became an international bestseller and was made into a movie of the same name, which became popular all over the world. In 1972 and 1974, he wrote two more novels, "The Odessa Files" and "Dog War", which became popular around the world and were made into movies. Since then, he has written a novel every two years on average. In 2006, the 68-year-old Forsyth extended his tentacles to Afghanistan again and wrote "Afghanistan", which once again became a political thriller. So far, he has written a total of 20 novels, most of which have been made into movies.
