About This Novel
The male protagonist Yang Xingyuan lives in Peiping and makes a living by selling articles and editing newspapers. He falls in love with Liyun, a young brothel prostitute, at first sight. Unfortunately, Liyun died of illness. Later, Yang Xingyuan met Li Dongqing, a down-and-out talented girl, and they exchanged poems and poems, and their relationship became deeper and deeper. However, Li Dongqing finally left Peiping sadly because of a hidden illness that prevented her from getting married. Yang Xingyuan also died due to depression.
