About This Novel
"The Gambler" mainly tells the story of Polina falling in love with the poor tutor Alexei. However, during Alexei's absence, in order to get rid of the family's difficulties, Polina became the fiancée of a French loan shark. In order to save Polina, Alexei fell into a roulette game. He eventually wins, but the passion for gambling has drowned out the tragic story of his love for Polina. The author uses his own experience as a prototype and criticizes the values of market capitalism to write about the distorted consciousness that money has on people. "The Gambler" is a critique of market capitalist values. This novel not only explores the two major themes of love frustration and gambling, but also further analyzes the driving force of psychological self-destruction and creates a character model based on Alexei. More importantly, Dostoevsky himself was also a gambler, and he completed the novel quickly while being forced into debt. It contains elements of autobiography. Perhaps because of this, the psychological description in it is particularly praised.

Requesting Russian literature to produce a character relationship diagram😖
The good-looking ones have been particularly wonderful since my grandmother came out. The first few chapters where the relationships between the characters are laid out were confusing. After re-reading the previous chapters, I finally figured out what the general relationship is. Grandmother - the son is a general - Polina is the general's stepdaughter Blanche and the General are a couple (but not together yet) Astley (British) has an unrequited love for Polina The protagonist of this book (a tutor) and Polina are in love but have no money. So I'm waiting for my grandma's inheritance to get married. But the grandmother also lost all her money in gambling, so the protagonist himself took the risk and gambled... After the protagonist won a sum of money, she originally wanted to get married, but Paulina didn't know what motivated her (there may be some obscure relationship that I didn't understand), but she ran away madly, and in the end the money was given to Blanche (the relationship was so confusing that I almost thought that Paulina and Blanche were the same person, but the author used different parts of their names) The ending is that the general also went crazy, and the protagonist became addicted to gambling and his life was ruined, over. Betting on a dog's life. . Looking for a character relationship diagram ( ) similar to Mo Yan's Life and Death Fatigue! ! Russian names are too long! ! ! ! And you can see it bit by bit! ! It's not like you can read it in one sitting and forget about it after a while! ! I wonder who this person is🤣🤣🤣🤣! !
Don't fall into the whirlpool of desire
Don't fall into the whirlpool of desire Don't put yourself to death Don't be bound by the desire to enlarge Don't replace desires with one platform after another Finally, an unbearable number There is a calculation system behind the gifts of fate. Sooner or later, you have to pay them back.
A particularly good book that clearly writes about human nature and gambling.
Constantly teasing the greed of human nature, casting temptations, controlling their minds and then emptying their souls. Human greed is never-ending. It only takes one introduction to change his entire values.
. The gambler's hot and cold mentality, his unwillingness to lose money, his greed for winning money, and his sad and ridiculous desire to change his fate even at the last cent are all shown.
