About This Novel

A disaster trip that sells human nature, a dark and absurd "derailed daily life". "Jungle" is a company that specializes in providing disaster tourism projects for tourists. For ten years, Yuna has been stuck behind a desk as an itinerary planner for Jungle Travel Agency. Her job was unremarkable until an exploitative boss started giving her trouble. Yuna painfully submitted her resignation, but was given the opportunity to take a paid vacation: she needed to dress up as a tourist and go to Mui Ne, a remote island in Vietnam, to evaluate a travel project that was at risk of being removed from the shelves. This project included sinkholes, volcanoes, deserts and other elements. On the way, Yuna accidentally learned that the local resort was planning to "create" a disaster to regain attention. As she learns the cost of this man-made disaster, she realizes the lives of Mui Ne residents are in danger, as well as her own... The first Korean winner of the British Dagger Prize for crime fiction. Shortlisted for the Dublin International Literary Prize. The Times, The Guardian, The Atlantic and other media praised it, and the copyrights were sold to Japan, France, the United States and other countries.
