About This Novel
Chen Yufu, another boy from Renmin University, and I arrived in the mountain city of Chongqing on January 19, 2000, and began our search. Teacher Tan told us that when we arrived in Chongqing, we first went to the electrical machine factory to look for the brothers of two migrant girls named Xiu Ming and Xiu Qin who had no surnames. Through him, we could know the whereabouts of their sisters. Liu Chengfu also looked for them last time, but mistakenly thought that one of them was Yang Qinying and returned without any results. The only clue we relied on this time was that their brother graduated from college in July 1993 and was assigned to an electrical machine factory in Chongqing.
