About This Novel

A few short stories about the popular killer and detective Kurosawa. In recent days, vicious killings have occurred frequently in society. The deceased had their neck bones broken and died in strange ways. Public opinion circles dubbed the murderer the "Broken Neck Man" and drew a portrait through eyewitness testimony. When the old couple saw the "murderer's portrait" posted on TV, they suddenly became suspicious of the young man living next door, and began to follow... Is the young man next door a vicious neck-breaking man? Will a couple who have lived a peaceful life encounter a sensational event in their later years? Readers' favorite Kurosawa is once again involved in the incident in a strange way, and this time, he seems to be being tricked...

Like the last story

I've read some of Kurosawa's stories many years ago, but I didn't have a deep impression of him. I feel that his old readers may have more fun reading this one. My personal feeling is that it's a bit like a fairy tale or a fable, with many coincidences. The overall reading experience is quite relaxing and fast.
