About This Novel

There are many kinds of memories that can be retained by someone. They may be hidden in the streets they have walked together, the restaurants they have been to, the sunken sofas, or the pungent scent of perfume that they once disliked but miss again after thinking about it... Once you take stock of these fragments in your heart one by one, you will build a strong fortress and become a treasure that no one can erase. Both protagonists have someone they cannot forget, but the way they deal with it is completely different: Ten-year-old Lei pretends to be a little adult. After her mother disappears, she strictly disciplines herself and pretends everything is as usual, trying to fill the empty home with normality; neighbor grandmother Leti buries the grief of losing her young daughter under the smelly garbage, forcing herself not to think about the beautiful past. The two people who were left behind each clung to the memories of the house. Because they understand the pain that others cannot express, the old stubborn and the young stubborn, who originally disliked each other, come into each other's lives. They both reject care from the outside world, but they are able to stand up when each other is vulnerable and use their own ways to help each other protect the things they care about. Fifty-five days later, an accident caused the high wall that Lei had carefully built to collapse in an instant, and she finally confessed the truth about her mother's disappearance... Lei also gradually became clear about where she should go to find what she had lost.
