About This Novel
An autumn night in 1940. The county government hall in Honghu County is brightly lit and filled with singing and dancing. Sitting next to the round table in the main hall were Kan Hori, the regional commander of the 11th Brigade of the 11th Brigade of the 11th Army of the Japan-China Expeditionary Force, and Huang Biao, the newly-inaugurated self-police regiment leader, security brigade captain and clearance brigade captain. The hall was full of tables and seats, including leaders from all walks of life and their gorgeous ladies. In the hall, there are red lights, green wine, and laughter, showing the "peaceful" scene during the war. After three rounds of drinking, Commander Jinhori imitated Chinese etiquette, drank a glass of wine, and stood up: "Everyone, we are gathered together today to celebrate the inauguration ceremony of my good friend Huang Biao. On behalf of the Empire of Japan and the Wuhan Base Camp, I appoint Huang Biao as the colonel self-police regiment leader.
