An old man in Erdaohegou Village under Canglong Mountain often told people that there is a true god hidden in this fire temple. He said that every winter, he would go into the mountains to cut firewood and burn charcoal. Once when he went into the mountains, he got lost in heavy fog. He walked around in the forest carrying charcoal for a whole day, and somehow he ended up next to the Fire Temple. It was about getting dark when he suddenly saw a golden light in front of the Fire Temple. A majestic god walked out of the temple, came to the stone beast outside the temple door, and stepped on the stone beast's four hooves to make wind and patrol the mountain.
