About This Novel

"Dance of Shadows" established Carter's crazy and psychedelic writing style. Although it is still greener than his later works, it appears more bizarre and bold because of it. Most of the characters in the story are incomplete on the inside. The protagonist Maurice is cowardly and indifferent, but his heart is full of struggle and uneasiness when facing injustice; Beehawk is cruel and vicious, and can be said to be the embodiment of evil. She has a fascinating appearance but is rotten and full of madness on the inside; Ghislaine changes from "Angel" She became a "demon", but because of her unprovoked self-abuse and extremely crazy love for the Beehawk, she was unable to make people feel love and pity. Emily, who seemed calm and rational, was just like a robot on the inside. When faced with family, friendship and love, her usual approach was to compare and coldly discard the unappreciated party.
