Barren Feelings
by Cloud. Crane
About This Novel
Extreme poverty, isolation from the world, desolate living beings, and deep fetters. The entire novel is rooted in a poor village in the deep mountains of the north from the late 1990s to the early 1920s. There is no good luck from the sky, no redemption from the nobles, and no comeback against the odds. The whole process is realistic and suffering. There are only two core bonds in the whole story: brothers connected by blood, and the old scalper who will never leave. With hundreds of people in the village, ten miles of mountains and fields, and half a lifetime, the two brothers have no relatives, no one to help, and no one to care about them. In the barren wasteland, the warmth and warmth of people, natural disasters, illnesses, and desperate livelihoods, they rely on each other and an old cow to survive the rest of their lives, interpreting the clumsiest, purest, and undying sincere affection of the little people at the bottom.
