"Red Lips" is published by Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House. Wang Xiaoying was born in 1947. After graduating from high school in 1968, he went to Huangshan Tea Forest Farm to work as a farmer. In 1977, he was admitted to the Chinese Department of East China Normal University. He once served as the editor of "Sprouting" and later engaged in full-time creation at the Shanghai Writers Association. He is the author of the novels "Masked Song", "Long Street Walk", "Who Do You Defend", "I Defend You", "Pictures", "We Once Loved Each Other", "Queen Lu·Palace Doll", "Ask a Girl What to Think", etc., Short story collections "A Journey to the Dust", "Lovebirds", "Accidental Death", "Deep Front Alley, Deep Back Alley", and essay collections "Women's Thoughts", "Ordinary Sui Huai", "Pity Countless Mountains", etc. She has won the National "Five Ones" Project Award (2009), the 4th People's Literature Award (2001), the 1st Chinese Contemporary Women's Literary Creation Award (1998), the 4th Second Prize for Outstanding Novellas (1998), the 4th Shanghai Culture and Art Award for Outstanding Achievements (1989), the Shanghai 40th Anniversary Outstanding Work Award (1989), and the 4th National Outstanding Novella Award (1986).
