On a snowy night more than 20 years ago, doctor David finally gave birth to his long-awaited children - a pair of twins. The boy is healthy and strong, but the girl is born with Down syndrome, which is incurable throughout her life. In order to protect his wife and get rid of the foreseeable pain in the future, David asked the nurse to send the girl away, lying that the girl had died. However, this white lie turned into a nightmare for the family. His wife was immersed in the pain of losing her daughter. David was filled with guilt and neglected the family.
