Dandelion Mellow Summer
by I
About This Novel
Douglas thought that in the summer when he was twelve years old, he could play by the stream in the forest and pick fruits from the trees as usual; he could play as much as he wanted with his good friends and never be separated; he could sit on the swing on the porch every night and play in the big house. Fall asleep amidst the chatter and noise of people; you can pick dandelion flowers with your grandpa, seal them in a bottle with the memories of summer, wait for winter to open them, and slowly taste them... What he didn't expect was that he would encounter and enter the stories of the town residents themselves. From these stories, he experienced joy, doubt, tears, stubbornness, helplessness and nostalgia. What he didn't expect was that during this summer, he discovered two very important things in life. These two things shocked him so much and were so unforgettable that they were enough to form his lifelong heartbeat and melancholy.
