After finally finding a temporary shelter, they encountered another bizarre murder case - the owner of the shelter died in the study, and the murderer was undoubtedly in the shelter!

This is the most shocking book in the Ellery Queen series that I have seen so far! Mysteries and reversals, the ever-approaching death... Especially the chapter about Officer Quinn's vigil, was so well written.
