Woman and Her Three Children
by Yu Jieyin
About This Novel
The novel revolves around the memories of a mother, and delicately outlines her twists and turns in life and the fate of her family. In her early years, the heroine was forced to interrupt her studies due to her poor family and join the ranks of miners. She fell in love with a man who was also an orphan and a miner. After their marriage, they welcomed the fruit of their love - their clever son Sui'an. However, as fate would have it, Sui'an was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of eight. Although the couple wasted no time in seeking treatment, and even appealed to the public to find a bone marrow match, Sui'an still passed away from the torture of the disease, leaving his family with endless sorrow and regret. After years of suffering from the loss of a child, the heroine and her husband once again welcomed two new lives. She traveled across thousands of mountains and rivers with her son, using the memories of her journey and past to soothe the trauma in her heart. Deep down in her heart, she firmly believed that the lost Sui'an was silently guarding them in another form.
