About This Novel
"March's Invitation" begins with a ridiculous divorce party and ends with a carefully prepared wedding ceremony. It writes about the emotions, life, work and confusion of a group of men and women. The successful columnist Mitsuru, the school sweetheart Udao who has lost his glory, Yumiko, a wealthy girl whose marriage failed, Masamichi, a playboy who is not professional in love, and Mami, a seemingly mediocre housewife, are all classmates who walked together in college, although they have gradually moved on in their respective lives. They are far away, but they still keep recalling the emotions of the past to get together. They are either single, divorced, married, successful, or failed... The novel focuses on the protagonists' current subtle living conditions, rethinking of life, and friendship and love in their thirties.
