We understand who we want to be in love, but discover who we really are in war.

She wanted to put all the sense of security she felt at this moment into a bottle, and save it for drinking when the loneliness and fear dried her up.

Two-faced man

Julien abandoned the two sisters when they lost their mother; he was always drunk, did not care about his daughters, and always regarded them as a burden. On the surface, it seems that he is very incompetent as a father. In fact, I think France was facing a crisis at that time. In order to facilitate his underground work and to prevent his dangerous work from threatening the lives of his children, this was disguise, this was to protect the children, and it was an expression of love. This is also an external factor that allows the two sisters to grow and give them the courage to resist. For the country, their father participated in underground activities during World War II; for his daughters, Julien took the blame for Isabel, saying that he was the real "Nightingale" and pushing all the blame on himself. It was in this way that Isabel was able to survive until the moment of victory in World War II, and when he was close to death, he said his heartfelt "I love you, daughters." "Fathers", God has given them serious faces, and they do not easily express their love for their children on the surface, but they have been working hard on the road to loving their children. They are "two-faced people". As children, we should not be like "the tree wants to be quiet but the wind does not stop, the child wants to support but the parents are not there", honor your parents anytime and anywhere, they will always love you unconditionally. For me, the existence of my parents makes me feel safe and grounded. Maybe they will scold me and hit me, but I feel that it is a kind of love, although I can never say the words "I will always love you" in front of my parents.

Some things are hard to forget. And will never forgive. But love must be stronger than hate, otherwise we will have no future.

Not in time

It was limitedly exempted for several days before, but I haven't had time to watch it yet. Hey, I hope there is still a chance for limited exemption.

My thoughts are for reference only

This book uses a flashback method. From the reading process, I understand why the book is called Nightingale.... Halfway through reading, I still don't understand. Who is the sick old lady in the first chapter? I really want to know the final ending of the two sisters!

In that era, life was more difficult than death, and it carried more burdens.
