About This Novel
Archaeological graduate student Chen Du touched a bronze pillar underground at the Jinsha site and was pulled into the Shu Road in 316 BC. He possessed the body of "Chen Du", a five-person warrior who had just been killed by a falling rock, and woke up at the site of the mountaineering, with life and death on the line. After awakening the "Bronze Pulse" in his body, he was able to sense the direction of the mountain's mineral veins, and was recognized by Du Yu, the leader of the Five Dings, as "the person chosen by Shushan". In order to save his younger brother who was implanted with a copper needle by the Shu Kingdom's magistrate Yin, Chen Du entered the mountain veins and headed north to Bao Valley. The Veins are a network of living bronze blood vessels, and the Mountain lives by devouring the "time" of the strongman. He passed several levels and discovered that the five previous generations - Cancong, Yuliang, Gongsunzi, Zhao Mingyuan, and Du Yu - were all copies of the "seeder" copied by Shan, and he was the sixth generation. In the seventh level, he took the initiative to accept a complete bronze replacement and pulled out a mountain bone needle from his right arm. On the way north to the Great Wall, he found the remains of the sower and the intact needle in his left hand. After returning to Bao Valley, he peeled off the armor on the northern end of the eyeball and inserted the needle into the optic disc. From then on, the heart of the mountain beat the frequency of the seeder-his own. The entire Shu Road was calcified into mineral veins, and Chendu was bounced back to modern times by the cracks in time and space. After waking up, he was detained by the mysterious department, and the bronze content in his body was still being replaced. The old archivist helped him escape, revealing that Dujiangyan was a water conservancy project built by Li Bing to suppress the Shu Road. Underground in Dujiangyan, Chen Du found the "breath" left by Wu Ding - the bronze pulses of the five people had been suppressing the mountain's awakening at the ends of the veins for more than two thousand years. Wu Ding is not dead. The mountain is waking up quickly, and its five breaths are about to expire. Chen Du decided to form a new Wu Ding to take over this mission that could never be truly completed. The end of the Shu Road is Chengdu, and someone is digging down.
