"Spiritual Mountain" tells the story of French orientalist and sinologist David Neal who went deep into Tibet to find the "Kingdom of Shambhala" in his dreams; "Spiritual Land" tells the story of Liu Manqing, the female special envoy of the Republic of China who traveled thousands of miles to Qiangtang to enter Tibet, showing the central government's far-reaching sentiments and striving to maintain national unity and harmonious interethnic coexistence; "Spiritual Lake" tells the story of Tibet's famous "Regent Reting" who reached the peak of power and then fell. The soul characters in these three stories are organically combined by the author to form a coherent whole, which dialogues and echoes the author's travels and feelings at that time and place. The most distinctive feature of this book is that it adopts the writing form of dialogue between "here and now" and "characters of that time". Each story echoes before and after, and the three stories form a connection in time and space, which three-dimensionally presents the social features of Tibet in various periods of modern my country. The author is a narrator, an observer, and a thinker. The perspective is on today, the focus is on yesterday, cross-conversion, unfolding in sequence, and finally intertwined and integrated to form a complete century-old Tibetan narrative.
