About This Novel
In the late 1930s, the Anti-Japanese War entered a white-hot stage. Kong Xiyun, a hot-blooded young man, dropped out of school and joined the army. Because of his extraordinary strategy, he was placed in an unusual position by his leaders and won the first battle. Later, Kong Xiyun changed his name and was ordered to go to Shanghai to start a new journey on the secret front. This book has been serialized online since September 18 last year, and it has been a full year. Today, the last chapter "Postscript" is uploaded, with more than one million words in total. The story originated from a story my father told me before he died. It is a story about my uncle's life. A year ago, I suddenly heard the sound of an air-raid siren outside my window. I was so impulsive that I immediately wrote the outline of the story and submitted it to several websites. However, it was rejected by reviewers. It was not until I cleared up the time and place names that I finally saw the light of day. From then on, one thing I had to do every day was to write "A Single Journey."
