I think Dazhen's book is particularly good at telling stories about childhood. After growing up, the male protagonist really likes the female protagonist, and the female protagonist also likes the male protagonist. This feels a bit like beating mandarin ducks. Dada should write that the male partner fell in love with the female protagonist because of money, rather than sincerely, so that their breakup would be worthwhile.
