About This Novel

Modern disciplinary divisions often classify The Book of Songs as the research object of literature, philology and history. As a result, the significance of the Book of Songs as a classic book was forgotten, and the poetic tradition carried by the Book of Songs was also cut off. "Poetry as Poetry: The Book of Songs" Dayi Fa Wei Volume 1 is intended to start from the poetic theories of Qi, Lu, Han, and Mao as well as the interpretations of the "Book of Songs" by the Song and Ming dynasties, combined with the awareness of contemporary issues, to reactivate the poetic connotations of the classic interpretation of the "Book of Songs" and respond to the issues of the times. Through Dayi Fawei's classic interpretation work, the author hopes to bring the text of "The Book of Songs" back to the living ideological scene and establish a dialogue between ancient and modern times and a dialogue between China and the West. The format of this book is a chapter-by-chapter interpretation of the Book of Songs. The first volume is presented first, including three introductions and two southern parts. It will take three to four volumes to complete.
