About This Novel
"Water Margin" is a very high achievement among Chinese classical novels. It describes the entire process of the occurrence, development and failure of the Liangshan peasant uprising in the late Northern Song Dynasty. It has been circulated in many versions, including seventy chapters, one hundred chapters and one hundred and twenty chapters. This article adopts the 120-chapter edition of People's Literature Publishing House. Through careful study of "Water Margin", I excerpted the classic characters and stories and focused on writing 31 chapters.
