Xu Xiaopeng's Prose
by The Red Sun And Moon Illuminate The Place
About This Novel
Poetic Dwelling in the Wilderness of the Soul-Enlightenment of Prose Creation Prose is a swaying dandelion in the literary field, carrying the breath of life and the temperature of the soul, drifting in the wind, spreading poetry and emotion. For me, prose writing is a poetic dwelling in the spiritual wilderness, an affectionate dialogue with myself and the world. Life is the source of prose creation that never dries up. Traveling through the hustle and bustle of the city every day, those seemingly ordinary moments actually contain endless creative inspiration. On the way to work in the morning, I caught a glimpse of a stubborn little flower blooming on the street corner, swaying gently in the breeze, which seemed to tell the tenacity of life; on the way home in the evening, I witnessed the sunset dyeing the sky into a brilliant orange-red, with clouds floating like cotton wool. At that moment, time seemed to stand still, and I was filled with admiration for the magic of nature. These tiny fragments of life are like pearls scattered in the long river of time. They can become moving prose by simply stringing them together with words. Language is the feather of prose, giving it agility and beauty. Prose language does not need to be complicated or gorgeous, simplicity and sincerity are the most beautiful. It's like sitting around with old friends, sharing the trivial details and insights of life. There is no need to deliberately elaborate, every word comes from the heart. I remember sitting around having a meal with my family. The home-cooked food carefully prepared by my mother, although not as luxurious as delicacies from the mountains and seas, was full of the warmth of home. I recorded the warmth of that moment in simple words: "Under the light, the food was steaming, and the family's smiles were like the warm spring sun, warming the whole room." Such words, although plain, can touch the softest corners of people's hearts.
