About This Novel
Li Mubai, the descendant of the Wudang sect, became famous in the capital after killing Huang Jibei, the Sword and the Golden Hairpin. He was also entangled in emotions such as being unable to marry Yu Xiulian due to moral pressure, and causing the knight-errant Xie Xianniang to commit suicide due to a misunderstanding. He was depressed and had no interest in life, so he surrendered to prison. Jiang Nanhe rescued him from prison and told him to take good care of himself at the home of retired Ruzhou hero Yang Gongjiu, disguise himself as a businessman, visit Zen Master Jingxuan in Dangtu, Anhui, Jiangnan, and then meet Jiang Nanhe in Chizhou. Li Mubai therefore embarked on a journey of self-reflection and self-discipline. During the journey, I obtained the Qingming Sword and the acupuncture map, and also learned that Yang Bao, the adopted grandson of Yang Gongjiu, had obtained 45 strange and large pearls. He was hunted down by the rivers and lakes because the rare goods were habitable. The pearl came from the palace and was closely related to the unjust case of De Xiaofeng's exile to the northwest, so he and Jiang Nanhe re-tracked the case after their return. Li Mubai became a hidden hero after returning from Jiangnan, secretly helping Yu Xiulian, Sun Zhengli and others to rescue Yang Liying, help her kill Feng Long and others, and finally avenge De Xiaofeng's injustice.
